My dear Grace

I write in haste to reply to your letter received yesterday merely to say you need have no more anxiety about the parcel and to thank you once & once again for the trouble you took and no doubt you // did all that was right in sending it by the train you are in the habit of sending by – I speak in all ignorance of such matters but I seldom go by train. I cannot get over conquer my dislike to the Tunnels. I have therefore given up travelling any distance[.] it was quite a shock last year to go to Dover[.] // I am very sorry that your home is so cold[.] I would in fine weather look about for another & ask your acquaintances to look out for you in their walks about Town[.] In the mean time you must wear warm haps and wraps according to the weather[.] I should not at all like the cold winds you describe[.] you are quite right to avoid them – always affectionately John Webster
